*We have been building up own reading passage stamina. As of now, the students are taking a reading test that includes two passages with comprehension questions. Starting in March, they will be reading and answering comprehension questions with 3-4 passages. The students are expected to not just answer the questions, but to show their thinking (text evidence). The students loose points when they do not show how they go their answers (text evidence).
Reading homework: Your child is expected to read 30 minutes every day and write 2 summaries (3-5 sentences about what they read in their own words) of 2 different chapters, books, magazines, etc. each week in their Reading Logs (spirals). Reading Logs will be checked at the end of the week.
